We're looking for a skilled and practical Maintenance Person to join our team at Cattle Country Farm Park, Graze Café and The Barn at Berkeley wedding venue.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll play an important part in maintaining our attractions, buildings and grounds, while also helping to develop exciting new projects across the site. From constructing new attractions to carrying out essential repairs, no two days are the same.
You'll work on a wide variety of projects, both indoors and outdoors, helping to ensure our site remains safe, attractive and enjoyable for our visitors. Working as part of our Maintenance Team, you'll help maintain our buildings, attractions and infrastructure to a high standard, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for the thousands of visitors who come to us every year.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs to attractions, equipment and facilities throughout the Farm Park
Maintaining buildings, structures and infrastructure across the site
Assisting with the construction and installation of new attractions, buildings and improvement projects
Undertaking a variety of carpentry, plumbing, fabrication and general building tasks
Carrying out groundworks and general grounds maintenance
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Supporting the wider team with planned and reactive maintenance as required
About You
We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and enjoys solving problems.
You'll have:
A broad range of practical building and maintenance skills, ideally including carpentry, plumbing, fabrication and groundworks
Confident operating a wide range of plant machinery
A full UK driving licence
A good understanding of health and safety practices
Excellent practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A proactive, flexible approach with a willingness to turn your hand to a wide variety of tasks
The ability to work on diverse projects in both indoor and outdoor environments throughout the year
Good organisational skills and pride in producing high-quality work
Flexibility to work additional hours when required
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Berkeley, Gloucestershire. Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
Our Maintenance Team works weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis, so flexibility is essential.

Join our busy team at The Barn at Berkeley working across weddings & events. You’ll be serving food and drinks and working behind the bar, helping to keep service running smoothly thorughout the day and into the evening.
You must be
Aged 18 or over, ideally with previous front of house experience in a bar, cafe or events venue
Able to work Fridays and Saturdays, including evenings
Confident, sociable and a great team player

We're looking for some seasonal superstars to join our team at Cattle Country Farm Park this Christmas and help us create a brilliant festive experience for our visitors.
We're looking for people to take on two very important roles: Father Christmas and Christmas Elves. If you're friendly, confident, love chatting to people and can get into the festive spirit, we'd love to hear from you.
Father Christmas
Could you step into the role of Father Christmas and make every family feel like they've had a truly special visit?
We're looking for someone who is calm, warm and friendly, with a natural way of chatting to children and families.
You'll have:
A friendly, approachable personality
A calm and patient nature
Confidence chatting with children and families
The ability to stay in character
A good sense of humour and a bit of Christmas magic
Previous experience with children or playing Father Christmas is useful, but not essential
Christmas Elves
Our Elves are there to keep the festive atmosphere going and make sure families have a great time from start to finish.
You'll need plenty of energy and confidence, along with a willingness to get involved and have fun with the role.
You'll have:
A friendly and outgoing personality
Confidence chatting to visitors
A love of Christmas and getting into character
A positive, helpful attitude
The ability to work well as part of a team
Experience in customer service, events or working with children is useful, but not essential.
