Current Vacancies

  • We are looking to recruit an experienced Duty Manager to provide dynamic operational leadership of our Front of House teams across the Graze Café at Cattle Country Farm Park, and our Wedding Venue, to provide an excellent experience for our visitors and guests.

    Graze Cafe

    • Working with our Executive Chef and Farm Park Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of Graze Cafe and the kiosks, providing operational leadership during service

    • Overseeing daily duties and ensuring that we maintain high levels of customer service at all times

    • Assisting the Executive Chef with front of house stock ordering, management and costings

    • Assisting the Farm Park Manager with front of house staff management & training

    • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness and ensure that all H&S requirements are met

    • Continue to develop our product offering and operating model in line with current trends and visitor requirements/expectations

    The Barn at Berkeley

    • Providing operational support during event set up, on the day of an event and during service

    • Assisting our Senior Wedding Coordinator with Bar management & training, Front of house staff management & training

    • Deputising for our Wedding Coordinator, providing occasional event coordination support

    • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness and ensure that all H&S and licencing requirements are met

    Job requirements

    • Proven success of managing a large Front of House team, leading from within the team and always striving to deliver great customer service

    • A passion for hospitality, with experience gained in a similar or relevant environment

    • Highly organised with excellent communication skills

    • Smartly presented and professional at all times

    • Adapting to the needs of the business with a can-do attitude to providing support across the wider team. There is an expectation that this role will assist across the business where needed, particularly in the lead up to Farm Park events and outside of holiday periods, alongside our other Duty Managers

    • Calm when working under pressure and dealing with incidents involving staff or customers, for example First Aid

    • You will be required to work one day each weekend, across the site as required

    • This is an operational role and therefore working hours will vary depending on the wedding and event schedule, and park activities

    This is a part time role typically working 24 hours / 3 days per week from Thursday to Sunday. Additional hours are available during school holidays and busy periods.

    Full training will be provided to the successful candidate

  • We pride ourselves on our café Graze which serves freshly prepared, seasonal food to our visitors. Alongside Cattle Country is The Barn at Berkeley, our wedding and events venue. Our kitchen team are required to work across both kitchens as required.

    We are looking for experienced kitchen staff to join our team. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a diverse hospitality and leisure business, so it will suit someone with previous experience in a similar or relevant kitchen where quality food and customer service must always be delivered, especially on busy days.

    Duties will include

    • Preparation of all items on our menu

    • Leading the Graze kitchen team on days where our Executive Chef is at The Barn at Berkeley

    • Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the GRAZE kitchen, providing an excellent experience for all of our visitors

    • Maintaining strict hygiene standards and ensure that all Food Safety requirements are met

    • Provide support for The Barn at Berkeley kitchen team when required

    Job Requirements

    • A broad range of relevant skills gained in a fast-paced kitchen environment

    • A passion for cooking and an interest in using fresh, local produce

    • Previous experience of leading a team during food service

    • A great communicator; liaising with our Front of House and kitchen staff

    • A friendly, calm and confident manner, especially when the café is busy

    • A flexible approach and able to work additional hours when required

    This is a part time role working 3 days a week with more shifts available during school holidays and busy event periods.

    This is a 3 month fixed-term contract working a minimum 3 days a week with more shifts available during school holidays and busy event periods.

    The rate of pay will depend on experience, and full training will be given to the successful candidate.

  • In the heart of the Gloucestershire countryside, The Barn at Berkeley is a traditional Cotswold stone barn wedding & events venue.

    We are recruiting for Experienced Front of House and Bar Staff to join our busy team working at weddings, events and parties.

    • 6-12 hour shifts available to include serving Welcome Drinks, Canapes & The Wedding Breakfast

    • Bar work throughout the day and evening

    • Competitive rates of pay

    • Applicants must be aged 18 or over with previous experience in a similar or relevant role

    • All applicants must have their own transport and be able to get to Berkeley, Gloucestershire

    • You must be able to work Fridays/Saturdays including evenings
