  • Berkeley Heath Farm is home to The Cattle Country Farm Park, GRAZE Café and The Barn at Berkeley wedding venue. We are looking for a part time grounds care person to ensure that the site is maintained and presented to a high standard throughout.

    The successful applicant will have previous experience in grounds care and a proactive approach – carrying out routine tasks and looking for opportunities to improve the grounds.

    This is a part time role of 2 – 3 days per week depending on the season.

    Duties will include:

    • Mowing, strimming, weeding, hedge cutting and managing flower borders around the farm park and wedding venue.

    • Occasional maintenance jobs within the farm park

    • To undertake any other reasonable tasks as specified by managers.

    • Keeping machinery well maintained.

    Rate from £11.50/hr, depending on experience.

  • GRAZE Cafe serves fresh, locally-sourced, seasonal food to our visitors and is open during Cattle Country opening hours.

    We are looking for front of house staff to join our team.

    Duties will include:

    • Counter service, including serving cakes and preparing hot drinks

    • Taking orders and operating the tills

    • Serving food from the kitchen and clearing tables

    • Working in all catering outlets on site

    Job Requirements:

    • A friendly, calm and confident manner

    • Excellent customer service skills

    • Smart, professional, and knowledgeable about our menu

    • Enjoy working as part of a team

    • Maintain strict hygiene standards and ensure that all Food Safety requirements are met

    • A flexible approach and able to work additional hours when required

    • Must be available to work one weekend day and school holidays

    Hours: This is a part-time role working mainly weekends 9-5:30pm, with some Fridays and additional weekday hours available during school holidays

    Rate of pay: Dependent on experience.

  • Junior Kitchen Team Member

    This is a great opportunity for newly trained chefs, or individuals wanting to gain experience working in a kitchen with opportunities to progress within the business.

    GRAZE Cafe serves fresh, locally-sourced, seasonal food to our visitors and is open during Cattle Country opening hours and selected weekdays too.

    We are looking for experienced back of house staff to join our kitchen team.

    Duties will include:

    • Assisting with food prep and service, working as part of a team

    • Ensure all equipment, utensils & work areas are kept clean to a high standard

    • Assist kitchen team with accepting deliveries & stock rotation

    • Provide occasional support to the Kitchen Team at our Wedding Venue

    Job Requirements:

    • A friendly, calm and confident manner with the ability to work within a fast-paced kitchen environment

    • Ability to follow instructions and follow recipe specifications

    • Attention to detail

  • We are recruiting experienced Supervisors to support our Managers with the smooth day-to-day running of our GRAZE Café and outlets.

    This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a diverse hospitality and leisure business, so it will suit someone with previous experience in one of our businesses or in a similar or relevant environment such as retail, leisure or a visitor attraction. Our Supervisors will have the opportunity to progress within the business and make a real difference to the running of our catering outlets.

    The Cafe Supervisor will primarily work across our food outlets, but will be trained to work across multiple areas of the business, to provide to support to other Managers if required.

    Our Supervisors will be supported by the teams in each area.

    Key areas of training and responsibilities

    • Deputising for, and working alongside our Manager our Supervisors will also lead the team in the Manager's absence being the main point of contact during opening hours

    • Work alongside other Managers and Supervisors to ensure the smooth running of our catering outlets

    • Delegating the daily tasks and ensuring that a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times

    • Be highly organised and able to use initiative to solve problems

    • Assist with training new starters and junior team members

    • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, setting an example to the wider team

    • Arranging staff lunches

    • Deal with customer questions

    • Have a smart and professional appearance

    • Be flexible and able to work additional hours when required

    • Have a good understanding of all business areas and the site layout/locations

    Hours: Part time or full time hours would be considered.

  • We are recruiting Supervisors to support our Managers with the smooth day-to-day running of Cattle Country Farm Park, GRAZE Café & The Barn at Berkeley.

    This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a diverse hospitality and leisure business, so it will suit someone with previous experience in a similar or relevant environment such as retail, leisure or a visitor attraction in a customer facing role. We are always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience, improve our social media channels and seasonal events, and our Supervisors will have the opportunity to progress within the business and make a real difference to the running of our Farm Park, Café and Wedding Venue.

    Each Supervisor will work in one Primary Business Area, but all Supervisors will be trained to work across multiple areas of the business, to provide to support to other Managers when required and enable them to take more shifts. Our Supervisors will be supported by the teams in each area.

    Key areas of training and responsibilities

    Hours: This is a part time contracted role, working 8-24h per week with the opportunity to work full time hours in holiday periods
