School/Educational Visits

We welcome educational visits as we love to help in the development of children through learning about us and the animals we have.

Educational visits are available all year round. These trips take children around the farm and help them to develop a better understanding of farming and wildlife through a ‘hands on’ approach.

A typical educational visit includes a walk and talk along our Farm Trail, a tractor and trailer ride, and the chance to interact with and learn about a variety of animals in our Animal Experience Centre.  We will tailor-make your day to suit your age group and recently studied curriculum topics. Examples of areas we have covered in the past include:

  • Farming in the Berkeley Vale
  • Diversification in farming
  • Where does our food come from?
  • Wildlife conservation
  • Habitats
  • The environment
  • Adaptation

After lunch, pupils are normally allowed to play in the park as a reward for good work.

For Educational visits, the price is £8.00 per child.

Educational Visit (non-funded) Booking Form

Thanks to the support of Natural England, we are able to offer a limited number of subsidised educational visits each year.

These visits must take place before July.  Natural England funded visits are for primary schools only and are at a fantastic price of just £3.50 per child (to cover the afternoon free time and play).

Teachers and assistants are free of charge for all educational visits.
