Wallace & Gromit

Wallace & Gromit

26th August 2010

Wallace & Gromit and Billy the Bison braved the weather on Wednesday and stepped out to raise money for The Grand Appeal at Cattle Country!  Continuing their support of the Bristol based charity which fundraises exclusively for Bristol Children’s Hospital and St. Michael’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Cattle Country kindly donated £1 of each ticket sale to The Grand Appeal.

Despite the out of season weather over 400 people visited the park and through the generosity of the staff and visitors, the day raised over £600 – a fantastic amount which will all go directly to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Michael’s.  Sarah Vipond, Major Donor Fundraiser at The Grand Appeal said: We are hugely grateful to the team at Cattle Country and all the visitors who made the day such a great success.

We would like to thank Cattle Country for choosing to support The Grand Appeal and we look forward to working together again in the future.

Stuart Burnell, Park Manager adds: We are delighted to support such an important local cause. We really believe Cattle Country and The Grand Appeal is such a perfect fit as many of our customers would have had experience with St. Michael’s NICU or Bristol Children’s Hospital. We look forward to putting on further events in the future.
